Recipe: Pesto spaghetti with cherry tomatoes

Cinnamon basilCinnamon basil is a delicious variety of basil with a strong hint of cinnamon. Used fresh, even in combination with other basil cultivars, adds a spicy touch to many recipes.

For this pasta I used my classic recipe of pesto without garlic, with broad leaf basil, cinnamon basil and chives instead of garlic. This pesto doesn't use any kind of cheese.

Pesto spaghetti with cherry tomatoes


Ingredients
Serves two:
160g spaghetti
150g cherry tomatoes
1/2 clove of garlic
6 anchovy fillets
4 tablespoons olive oil
5 tablespoons pesto

Directions
Heat the olive oil in a pan, add the anchovy fillets and then dissolve.
Add the cherry tomatoes cut in half and cook a couple of minutes.
Cook the spaghetti until al dente, drain well and season with the cherry tomatoes sauce and pesto.
