Armenian Cucumber on the rooftop

Rooftop gardening
June 28, 2011

When I decided to grow some plants of cucumber on my rooftop, I chose mostly small-fruit varieties, suitable for growing in containers... Watching this armenian cucumber grow spectacularly within 10 days, I find out that even large cucumber varieties grow well in containers if you water them constantly.

Armenian Cucumber

This Armenian cucumber is a snake variety, with a slightly silky peel that I removed.
It tastes delicious, sweet and tender, although it weighed nearly 400 grams.
I used it in salads and in the watermelon gazpacho.
