Recipe: Apple, walnuts and sage pasta

It's been more than six months since I posted the last pasta recipe, and this can make you understand why among my cooking resolutions for the year 2011 I promise to cook more pasta.

SageSo, I hope to create more recipes like this one, with the delicate taste of the apple, the strong gorgonzola and some fresh sage.


Apple, walnuts and sage pasta

Apple, walnuts and sage pastaa


Ingredients
Serves two:
160g wheels (or another short pasta)
1 apple
15 walnuts
100g gorgonzola (or blue cheese)
100ml milk
2 tbsp butter
3 sage leaves

Directions
Peel and core the apple. Melt the butter in a pan and season the sliced apple for a couple of minutes.
Add the coarsely chopped walnuts and the sage, cut into strips. Cook for five minutes.
Meanwhile, cook the pasta normally in boiling salted water.
Add the Gorgonzola cheese and the milk to the sauce and cook until creamy.
Drain the pasta when al dente, season with the sauce and serve immediately.
