Tourist in the pot

Enjoy growing
June 10, 2008

I must confess this cricket (more than 10 cm/4 inches long) freaked me out.

Grasshopper

I was be afraid that it was dead but a few hours later, it was gone. I hope it was only sleeping!

EDIT - thanks to SARAH, NAGALONE e ~KD: it's a grasshopper, not a cricket.

Hi there!

What you had there wasn t a cricket. It was a grasshopper. Crickets don t grow to be that big. We had one the size you ve described, come into our dining room, at night. It was jumping and flying everywhere. I m not usually frightened by insects, but this one, like you, freaked me out, mainly because it was difficult to catch. You re a good photographer. Thanx for sharing!

Attenzione!!!
