Chili sowing

Growing chili peppers
December 29, 2009

Every year I use the scottex paper method for the chili sowing.
This method can be used also for bell peppers, tomatoes, aubergines.

Scottex sowingTake an ice-cream box, clean and disinfect it.
Draw sectors on a scottex paper towel, and put it inside the box.

Scottex sowingIt's better to follow a plan: seeds are very similar and can be confused.
This is my schema.

Scottex sowingPour some water on the paper towel, and put each seed in its place.
Cover and put in a warm place.

Plant the seedsWhen a seed sprouts, plant it in a pot or plastic glass, and don't forget to label it.

This year I'm growing many new plants, seeds seems very vital and I have planted almost 30 sprouted seeds.

Frida BlackOne of the first chilies: Frida Black. I must admit that I choose this pepper for the name, that remember me a Peanuts character.

More details: Frida Black becomes a gorgeous ornamental chili plant.
