This fall I planted some colourful cultivars: purple carrots, rainbow chards... and radish watermelon, so named because its cross section resemble the color of a watermelon.
Only 45 days after, watermelon radishes are ready to be harvested, it's a record time...
...and some of them are really huge, I guess that the name refers to the size too!
Despite being so large, however, they were tender and crispy.
And here is what you all expected to see: the section, with the center of a beautiful red/pink.
Aren't they gorgeous?
