December harvest
Harvest and store
December 22, 2009
In December you can harvest many autumn and winter vegetables. I must admit that I tried some of them, but only few survived.
I'm still harvesting fresh lettuce leaves.
Chili peppers, paprika and bell peppers are still producing few precious pods.
Finally I harvested my giant cardoons. Read the post: Harvest and cook the giant cardoon
I'm harvesting many aromatic herbs, still fresh and tender: marjoram, celery, parsley, chervil, and the amazing chives garlic: a must-have!
Recipes with chives garlic (nira).
I'm harvesting also coriander and dill sowed in autumn.
December harvest is rich of fruits too: my uncle (yes, the same that gave me the giant mint leaves) send me some apples, avocados, grapefruit and feijoe.
