Recipe: Caramelized spicy walnuts

Another Thanksgiving recipe, this hot walnuts are a perfect snack and appetizer.
I served them also on a sweet potato casserole, with spices and honey.

They can be store in a jar for a few days.

Caramelized spicy walnuts

Caramelized spicy walnuts


Ingredients
50g walnut kernels
1 tbsp butter
2 tbsp sugar cane
1 pinch of chili
1 pinch of nutmeg
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1 tbsp cider vinegar

Directions
Melt the butter in a pan and toast the walnuts for 10 minutes, until golden.
Drop the sugar and mix until it melts, then add the spices and the vinegar.
Remove from heat and put in a baking pan, in a single layer.
Grill bake for five minutes and let cool.

I have been seriously craving nuts lately. This looks like a great recipe and I bet it would also make for a great foodie gift for people for the holidays!
