Aji Habanero is a Baccatum chili pepper, with beautiful orange pods.
Stir-fried Aji Habanero
Cut some Aji Habanero pods into halves, cut one onion, one apple and one sweet potato into thin slices. Sautè all these ingredients in a frying pan with little oil, over high heat. When all vegetables are tender and brown, reduce heat to low. Add some cheese cut into cubes and stir until melted.
Aji Habanero (Capsicum Baccatum)
Heat: Sweet
Taste/flavour: Bell-pepper-like
Wall thickness: Medium
Plant productivity: Prolific
Number of seeds per pod: Enough
Pod lenght: 4-5 cm long by 2 cm wide
Plant height: 70 cm
Colour: From pale yellow to bright orange.
Why grow it?:
My plant produced sweet chilies, and I prefer more fleshy Baccatum chilies. Anyway the plant had an amazing look, full of all those shiny pods.
Memo:
The plant is prolific and really colourful. These shiny pods can be pickled or stir-fried.
